Few things are more annoying than wanting to play your favorite game and being unable to properly do so because your computer is slow and performs poorly. For such cases, this tool is worth giving a try. GameBoost has been created to provide you with a more enjoyable gaming experience. It is meant to improve the speed and the smoothness of your computer when running full-screen games. In order to do so, it is presented as capable of tweaking some system parameters with the purpose of providing higher speeds for both the running processes and the Internet connection.

GameBoost combines the capabilities of two other optimization products from the same developer, the GameGain and the popular Throttle tool, in order to squeeze out every last bit of performance your computer and make it run at its very best. Changes like increased FPS (frames per second), smoother game play and less delay (lag) during multiplayer gaming should be noticed after performing a system optimization using this tool.

On the other hand, I would have liked more transparency from this program in regard with what exact settings it changes and registry entries it tweaks. You are just being offered an “Optimize” button, without being explained what pressing this button actually does in order to improve the gaming performance of your system. Except for instructing the CPU to prioritize full screen applications, giving them more power, which is surely an effective method of improving the gaming experience, the rest is quite a mistery. Furthermore, I think it’s a bit weird that you have to select by yourself the OS, processor and Internet connection type and they are not detected automatically. Anyway, GameBoost is really easy-to-use and simple. Except for pressing the “Optimize” button after you select the 3 aforementioned parameters and checking a “speed setting” level bar, there’s nothing else you should do in order to make the program do its job. I consider GameBoost worth being tried especially by beginners that care less about the methods used as long as the results are satisfactory.
